Congraduations
My wife Kelly and her two best friends from pharmacy school, Laura White, left, and Lauren Biales, right, graduated from UT College of Pharmacy on May 20, 2011. Since then, all three have passed their final licensing exams and are officially pharmacists.

San Antonio Race For the Cure
The woman pictured above is Beverly Mitchell, a breast cancer survivor and one of my bosses at Kids' Involvement Network in San Antonio. Beverly is the kind of woman who is always willing to drop what she is doing and answer a rookie's question even when the question may not necessarily pertain to her. I was very grateful for her immense help over the past year.

Reviving Baseball in the Inner-City - Austin, Texas
RBI Austin, an affiliate of Major League Baseball's Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program, hosted a clinic at the recently renovated John H. Reagan High School baseball field for elementary-aged kids on April 16, 2011 in Austin, Texas. College and semi-pro players provided top-quality skills training to kids from the Central East Austin and St. Johns neighborhoods, many of whom were having their first-ever experience with the sport.

One Year Later
Friends and family of Christian Martinez gather outside Christian's family's apartment in Austin, Texas to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his death. Christian was killed in a car accident on April 11, 2010 while traveling from Houston to Austin on Highway 290.
