For the past year, I have been working as a site director for Kids' Involvement Network, the afterschool program of North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. Kids' Involvement Network is part of the Community Education division of NEISD. Community Education also provides a wide variety of classes available to anyone who wants to sign up. I had the privilege of documenting many of the spring classes. Aside from being a nice supplement to our family income, this was a great opportunity for me to keep my photographic eye and community journalism skills sharp. It also gave me a lot of practice using flash in poor lighting conditions. Many of my upcoming posts will feature pictures from these classes.
