"Wild" Horses in the Trinity River Basin: Behind the Scenes

On Friday, November 4, 2011, all of us from You Plus Dallas woke up really early to go shoot 14 horses charging as one through the Trinity River basin at exactly the moment the sun rose over the shimmering Dallas skyline. My job was to capture the "behind the scenes" story. As you might imagine, things did not go exactly as planned, and I ended up becoming another shooter to try to help get "the shot," but thanks to the brilliant leadership of Brandon Carmichael and jubilant screams of Reid Slaughter, I still came away with a pretty funny "behind the scenes" piece. Also of note - both my feet and my dog were very excited to make their appearance in a You Plus Dallas video.

TCA Campus Life

The Hobbit

I photographed the Trinity Christian Academy middle school drama department's dress rehearsal for The Hobbit on November 2, 2011. Lots of fake beards and awesome Gandalfian accents.

Trek or Treat at Watters Creek

Watters Creek shopping center in Allen, Texas hosted a Halloween festival and 5K run on October 29, 2011. I shot this video, which was edited by Lindsay Jones, for You Plus Dallas.

Lake Highlands Produce Co-op

It's not every day you get randomly assigned to photograph your own mother, but that's exactly what happened when the Lake Highlands Advocate did a story on the farmer's market co-op my mom started 25 years ago and the photo assignment fell to me. Here's a link to the story.

Fix It Folks

Linda Calvert (on the right in bottom photo) organized a group of her Little Forest Hills neighbors to help out others in the neighborhood who need help with home repairs. Photographed for the Lakewood Advocate Magazine. Here is a link to the story.
